Copdock Hall, Suffolk

Back in July I had the opportunity to shoot at the wonderful Copdock Hall for a fashion article in the AW17 edition on Suffolk Ceremony magazine. It was a pleasure to work with such a talented group of suppliers, all based in Suffolk.

For me the main objective of the shoot was to ensure that everyone that contributed had their work showcased. When Amanda, the editor of Suffolk Ceremony Magazine and I first met at Copdock Hall we knew we wanted to achieve a fashion shoot that would enable prospective brides to see the flexibility in the spaces the Hall offers. I think too often we associate particular types of venues with particular styles of weddings – this is something we wanted to challenge. The decision to broadly follow the theme of glamour allowed us to shoot several different looks with very different feels to them.I just love the range of images I captured here at Copdock.

A massive thank you also needs to go out to Hattie and Hannah my fabulously beautiful models! IMG_5124IMG_5486IMG_5443IMG_5112IMG_5388 2IMG_5098IMG_5229-Edit

All Saints Hotel, Fornham St Genevive

Back in June I had the privilege of working over at the newly refurbished All Saints Hotel in Fornham St Genevieve near Bury St Edmunds. The setting and location of the venue is so beautiful with the golf course, sweeping romantic willows and fairy tale bridges crossing streams. The styling of the interior spaces available for weddings and events is just stunning. It is such a pleasure to visit and is always made even better by the absolutely fabulous All Saints team. If you have not already sourced your venue you need to head over and check it out!

The Rite of Spring

Wow! What a fabulous shoot with a really great bunch of suppliers. We wanted to create a shoot that really celebrated the beauty of Upthorpe Wood, a fantastic woodland wedding venue situated in beautiful rural Suffolk. We also wanted to incorporate magic, mysticism and the idea of love spells to put our twist on the whimsical woodland wedding. The signs were created by Gemma and The Vintage Party Co. that really helped carry this vision through. Kerry at Cottage Garden Weddings created the most breathtaking floral arrangements that really celebrate spring and showcase lots of British grown flowers.

The House of Snow Bridal in Bury St. Edmunds styled our fabulous model, Sarah, in two amazing gowns by Watters and a beautiful bespoke silk veil that is available in the boutique. Stacie Goodwin is an incredibly talented hair stylist who created Sarah’s amazing boho waves and updo that really helped us achieved a few different looks in one shoot.

Thanks again everyone, it was a pleasure.
